Citizens of the countries listed in Visa-Exempt Entry are allowed visa-free entry to Taiwan at any of its major international ports and harbors. For those who need a visa to travel to Taiwan, please contact local Taipei Economic and Cultural Office for full and official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that apply to you. We recommend to apply for your visa at least 2 months prior to your travel. For the latest information regarding visa requirements, please visit the official website of the ministry of foreign affairs (https://www.boca.gov.tw/mp-2.html).
If you need a visa to enter Taiwan, please contact the conference secretariat (firstname.lastname@example.org) to get an invitation letter to present to your local Taipei Economic and Cultural Office. Please include in your email the following information:
- Your name;
- If you are an author of a paper accepted for the conference or a workshop, please provide the workshop name (if relevant), paper ID, and the title;
- If you are not an author, please provide the purpose of your attending (e.g., regular participant, industry invited talk, etc);
- Your email address;
- Your date of birth, gender, and passport number.
Note that, invitation letters for visa purposes can only be sent to people who have completed the registration process.
This letter however does not involve any commitments by the conference organizers to cover fees, accommodation, travel expenses or other costs connected to the participation in the ACM ICMR 2021. It is an ordinary conference invitation letter. However, experiences indicate that this is good enough for most situations and most locations for applying for the visa.
